Over the December period the club’s waters reached temperatures in excess of 22 degrees Celsius. With the waters heating up, and Christmas fast approaching, there were far fewer anglers on the water. In the still waters, 46 rods produced 47 fish, the largest of which was a 2kg rainbow. While on the rivers 3 rods produced 3 fish in the 1.5 – 2lbs range.
In October no trout were caught by the 3 anglers who took to the rivers, although J.Rockey reported loosing a great trout on the Ericsberg beat. On the other hand, the still waters were on fire, with 42 rods producing an impressive 72 fish. J. Vaubal reported a 6.5lb cock at Ringstead.
