As is the norm for this time of year, there were few rods on the water in February. The still waters saw 17 rods produce 18 fish, while there were no rods on the river beats.
As is the norm for this time of year, there were few rods on the water in February. The still waters saw 17 rods produce 18 fish, while there were no rods on the river beats.
The rivers remain slow post drought with 5 anglers not managing to entice a single fish. The still waters remain a good option with 65 rods producing 56 fish over the month of January.
Eleven rods on the rivers produced no fish. T. Thurston reported 4 rods on his river section saw no fish. A. Hoffman reported hard fishing produced a few bigger fish (up to 40cm) and only 1 fingerling on his section below The Banks. D. Shepherd reported loosing a fish on Upper Ericsberg. Rivers were slow with 2 rods not managing to produce any fish. The still waters were however on fire with 23 rods producing a massive 60 fish. Well done to all!
On the still waters, 25 rods produced 28 fish, while 6 rods on the rivers produced no fish. Some good 6 pound fish were caught at Finelands 1 and Lake Ringstead. The festival was a great success with 48 rods producing 84+ fish.
On the still waters 32 rods produced 46 fish in what were mostly good conditions.
